On the morning of January 16, 2026, Nanjing GWDR Power Technology Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Dianrui New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as GWDR and DR New Energy) jointly held a donation ceremony for a PV-Storage-Charging Integrated Microgrid Teaching and Research Platform at the PV-storage-charging station of Hefei University of Technology (HFUT) Xuancheng Campus.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Jiang Chuandong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Campus Administrative Committee of HFUT Xuancheng Campus;Mr. Xiang Nianwen, Dean of the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering; Mr. Yang Jun, General Manager of GWDR and DR New Energy; along with representatives from both the university and the company, as well as faculty members and students, who gathered to witness this meaningful occasion.

The donated microgrid platform integrates 300 kWp photovoltaic generation, 300 kWh energy storage, three 120 kW energy-storage-based charging systems, and an advanced Energy Management System (EMS). Designed as a real-world engineering system, it combines teaching, research, demonstration, and sustainable operation in a single platform.
As an alumnus of HFUT, Mr. Yang stated during the ceremony that the university’s spirit of “integrity, diligence, pragmatism, and innovation” has been the strongest foundation throughout his entrepreneurial journey. This donation represents both a gesture of giving back to his alma mater and a commitment to advancing industry–education integration. Through this platform, the company aims to provide hands-on engineering practice opportunities for students in electrical engineering, energy, and automation disciplines, support faculty research with real operational scenarios, and assist the campus in exploring green energy models aligned with China’s “Dual Carbon” goals.

During the ceremony, Director Jiang presented a donation certificate to GWDR, while Dean Xiang and Mr. Yang jointly unveiled the platform. Attendees also toured the facility, observing photovoltaic generation and energy storage control modules firsthand, gaining deeper insight into the platform’s technical architecture and practical applications.
In his remarks, Dean Xiang emphasized that under the “Dual Carbon” strategy, the new energy industry urgently requires interdisciplinary talent. Leveraging the industrial strengths of the Yangtze River Delta region, the platform will support practical training for more than a thousand students and faculty members while transforming cutting-edge technologies into high-quality educational resources. Having cultivated deep expertise in the new energy sector for many years, Nanjing GWDR remains committed to supporting higher education and talent development. This donation not only strengthens the university’s education mission but also demonstrates the company’s dedication to social responsibility and industry–education collaboration.
Moving forward, the university and the company will use this initiative as a foundation to deepen cooperation in research commercialization, alignment with market demands, and interdisciplinary talent cultivation, jointly contributing to the green and sustainable development of the industry.
