On February 12, 2017, Jiangsu Province launched 1,363 major projects with a total investment exceeding 1.33 trillion yuan, spanning provincial, municipal, and county levels. These projects, covering science and technology innovation, industry, ecological and environmental protection, public welfare, and infrastructure, reflect a clear trend toward economic transformation and upgrading, with a growing number of projects focused on new products, technologies, business formats, and models, signaling a strengthening foundation for economic growth. 

The 1,363 major projects across Jiangsu Province have a planned annual investment of over 430 billion yuan. In Nanjing, 1,769 major projects were launched in 2017, with a planned investment of 439.3 billion yuan. This includes 32 provincial-level major projects with a 2017 investment of 46.3 billion yuan, 223 municipal-level major projects with a 2017 investment of 183.7 billion yuan, and 1,514 district-level projects with a 2017 investment of 209.3 billion yuan. Among these, GWDR’s “Smart Grid Product Manufacturing Project” was designated as a municipal-level major project, and General Manager Mr. Yang Jun was invited to attend the 2017 Jiangsu Province Major Project Launch Ceremony.
