On May 16, 2018, the State Council held an executive meeting to address reducing logistics costs for the real economy, explicitly calling for the elimination of provincial boundary toll stations on highways. Sun Yonghong, Deputy Director of the Highway Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, emphasized the need to phase out these toll stations by leveraging new technologies, such as Electronic Toll Collection (ETC), to enhance vehicle passage efficiency and lower logistics costs.

In 2019, highway operators across China responded swiftly, undertaking the removal of provincial boundary toll stations and mainline toll stations on cross-river and cross-sea bridges, while installing ETC-equipped gantries for seamless automatic tolling. In support of this major initiative, GWDR enhanced its LCP-II long-distance power supply system by integrating dual-circuit power technology, ensuring high-reliability power delivery. The system also supports a cloud-based monitoring platform for real-time oversight of ETC power supply systems across entire provinces, guaranteeing accurate toll collection.
This high-reliability intelligent power supply system has been successfully deployed and is operating stably in the ETC tolling systems of multiple highways and large-scale bridges in Jiangsu, Anhui, and other regions.
